Caves Freixenet were founded in 1914 in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, the result of the union of two families with a winemaking tradition: the Ferrer family and the Sala family. It is the largest exporter of sparkling wine in Spain, as well as the world’s largest producer of Cava and sales leader.
Freixenet’s most emblematic Caves, Cordón Negro and Carta Nevada, are the flagships of a range of sparkling wines that are sold in more than 130 countries. Freixenet maintains the highest standards of quality and eco-innovation by betting on leading technology, and continuously strives to evolve sustainably and innovate by launching new products such as Elyssia or Freixenet ICE, which open the door to new consumers.
At the heart of Freixenet is the philosophy and mission of the company to help the world celebrate the small and big moments of life.
