The founder of Caves Pujol Vilallonga was Joan Pujol, who in 1928 arrived in Cornellà from Hostalets de Pierola, a village in the Penedès where he owned a vineyard. In Hostalets, he worked as a farmer and sold wine, but in Cornellà, he began producing cava. Later, in 1984, his son joined the business and took the opportunity to improve the products, with two standouts being Cava Gran Cornellà and Cava Trianon.
