Alsina & Sardà

Our beginnings in the cultivation of the vine date back to 1862, on the property of Cal Janes, in the municipality of Pla del Penedès. At that time, the winegrowers made the wine on the properties and sold it to merchants. In 1982, the family entered the world of wines and cavas, producing their first bottles in the small family cava in Ca l’Avi (Subirats). In 1986, they started making wines and cavas in the current facilities, in the neighborhood of Les Tarumbes (El Pla del Penedès). In the course of all these years of dedication to the vineyard, the family has deepened their knowledge of the environment and the land, and thus they have been able to interrelate nature and work on it. Maintaining the balance of the ecosystem and developing a sustainable crop results in the land expressing itself in its fruits.
