Industry representation

AECAVA represents and defends the interests of cava producers before public administrations and other public-private and private entities. Our association is made up of a group of companies of different sizes, from SMEs to large multinationals, with a common goal: to promote cava and to guarantee the industry’s socio-economic sustainability. The association works daily towards this goal, creating the a reference framework which favours our companies’ global competitiveness.

Internationalization services at AECAVA

Internationalization

Since 1992, AECAVA has helped partner companies, mainly SMEs, to explore international markets by arranging international buyer missions. Likewise, we coordinate and promote the presence of cava producers at important international fairs such as Prowein or Fenavin, among others, supporting companies in international trade and helping to consolidate their brands.

Training

Over the last 10 years, AECAVA has organized more than 80 specialized training sessions. The topics are specifically designed for the various types of people who work at associated wineries: leadership, strategy, family business, digital marketing, online stores, social networks for wineries, how to sell wine-related tourism, food safety, SDGs in the cava industry, etc. The main goal of the training sessions is to improve the training of the industry’s professionals and to promote the transfer of knowledge.

Specialized consultancy services at AECAVA

Consultancy

At AECAVA we have a clear vocation for service. We offer partner companies advice in various areas, such as Special Taxes, the collective Labour Agreement for the cava and sparkling wines industry in Catalonia, wine legislation, subsidies and aid, specific regulations for international markets, etc. We continue to develop training materials daily in order to meet the specific needs of partner companies.

Industry information

One of the priorities of our association is that companies are up-to-date on industry-related news. For this reason, we carefully select the information sent, generating more than 200 memos annually on topics such as current and future legislation, calls for subsidies, technical conferences, courses, market studies, calls for international fairs, etc. Associated wineries can also access this information via the corporate website Intranet, which is updated daily.

Wine tourism services at AECAVA

Wine tourism

At AECAVA we have carried out a number of tourism initiatives where a significant number of associated wineries participate as a group. Some examples of active initiatives are: Camins del cava , La Primavera del Cava and La Verema del Cava. These projects originate from our association’s Wine Tourism Commission, and some of them have already been held for eight consecutive years. The aim of AECAVA, with all of them, is to help develop and strengthen wine tourism in the associated wineries, with a particular focus on cava.

Press and communications

At AECAVA we have a Press Department which manages relationship with the media, both domestically and abroad. Interview requests are honoured, and media representatives are called in when necessary. We also send information about all the projects launched within AECAVA, and carry out online and offline communication campaigns in order to promote them. Finally, we contribute to the various communication strategies of the associated wineries by promoting their content on our website and social networks.
