Parató

The Elias family has been cultivating their vineyards on the Montjuic mountain in Barcelona since the 18th century, vinifying their wines at their farmhouse in the Sants neighborhood of Barcelona. The current family winery was built in 1977 and is located in the Alt Penedès. The winery is dedicated to producing wines and cavas of recognized quality (DO Penedès and DO Cava). Since its founding, Celler PARATÓ has had a single goal: to offer wines and cavas of quality and prestige, combining modern technologies with traditional winemaking methods. We use only grapes from our own estates (94 hectares), vinifying and producing all our wines and cavas on the property. As viticulturists, we have always been very respectful of the environment and our vineyards, which is why our viticulture is 100% organic, and the winery is adopting sustainability measures (Biosphere Project). We work with traditional native varieties as well as international varieties adapted to our climate, always seeking the best expression of our Penedès lands.
