The Elias family used to cultivate their vineyards in the mountain of Montjuic in Barcelona since the 18th century, vinifying the wines in their farmhouse in the Barcelona neighborhood of Sants. The current family winery was built in 1977 and is located in Alt Penedès. The winery is dedicated to the production of wines and cavas of recognized quality (DO Penedès and DO Cava). Since its foundation, Parató has had a single objective: to offer quality and prestigious wines and cavas, combining modern technologies and traditional winemaking systems. We use only our own grapes from our state (94 hectares), vinifying and making all our wines and cavas on the property. As winegrowers, we have always been very respectful of the environment and our vineyards, and for this reason, our viticulture is 100% organic and the winery is adopting sustainability measures (Biosphere Project). We work with native varieties and also with international varieties adapted to our climate, always looking for the best expression of our “terroirs” from Penedès.
